Let’s make a deal…

Today’s privately held brunch at the Picnic House was full of surprises despite the gloomy rain in the morning, by noon the sun peaked out which made it a perfect day to be in Prospect Park… my neighbor and good friend who lives around the corner from me is a person first, a politician second, Marty Markowitz, Brooklyn Borough President attended our party and committed himself to support the endeavors regarding W.I.L.D.

I was advised to run for political office despite a lack of academic credentials, whereby an attendee and volunteer from Yale stated, “…honorary degrees are given to self-made men”… that’s nice, but do I really need one when I’m almost at the end of my life?

In any case, Marty presented our gang with Brooklyn “pins”… http://www.brooklyn-usa.org/  no, they’re not gold, just good quality plastic, here’s what they look like.

In addition to the roster of city council members and other officials, Goldman Sachs along with the NBA basketball team were also in attendance and pledged much needed funds for our endeavors within Prospect Park, grant applications which were submitted last year are on their way for final approval as well.

Food was catatonic, too much to sample and put on one plate… as we all were leaving, the birds were chirping and the yellow blooms of Forsythia were singing the song of Spring which is on it’s way!
